The Bella Foundation for Child and Maternal Care has made significant progress in combating child marriage in Ojo, Lagos Mainland, and Apapa LGAs. Their efforts have shifted parents’ mindsets, resulting in increased
school enrollment for girls. The foundation currently supports 12 survivors and at-risk girls from
these areas, re-enrolling them in senior secondary school. This initiative helps reduce gender
inequality and promotes reproductive health by equipping girls with the knowledge to prevent
unwanted pregnancies.
