The Community and Human Rights (CAHR) Awards – pronounced “Car Awards” – seeks to provide a platform that would encourage businesses to take extraneous steps to correct the anomalies of engagement within communities, primarily extractive communities, by acknowledging and appreciating best performing companies and individuals.
Nominees for the 2024 CAHR Awards were elected by members of the public through an online voting process. The winners were chosen following the voting by a jury made up of eminent personalities from diverse fields. They include celebrities, human rights activists, media personalities and business leaders.

The Community and Human Rights (CAHR) Awards has, since its inception in 2019, recognised and appreciated outstanding individuals and organisations performing excellently in the areas of human rights and community engagement.
