What is the full meaning of CAHR Awards?

Community and Human Rights Awards.

Who can be nominated for a category?

Individuals and/or organisations contributing to social justice and recognising the rights of communities as a contributing factor to the economic prosperity of Africa.

Who can make a nomination or vote?

Any member of the public with adequate information about the nominee and the work that they do in the category in which they are to be nominated or voted for.

Is there any cost to enter for the CAHR Awards?

No. Nominations and participation at the CAHR Awards is absolutely FREE.

Can I nominate myself or my company?

Yes, if you or your company has a good knowledge of the work that the nominee is doing in the category they hope to emerge from or by the prospective nominee themselves.

Can I enter for more than one category?

Yes. However, participants can only nominate a person/organisation for a maximum of two categories. Any nominations exceeding this limit will be disqualified.

What is required for project verification?

Verifiable legal documents, pictures, article features, attendances and any other material that may aid adequate evaluation project claims.

Is my submission confidential?

Documents shared with us will only be used for the sole purpose for which it has been requested – decision-making, and will be kept in strictest confidence.

How are the winners determined?

An aggregate of public vote, jury votes and project alignment with the requirements of the category, is the deciding factor for CAHR Awards winners.

Can I get nominated after a year’s interval, i.e., after the last nomination?

Yes. However you may be nominated, but your proof of work has to show substantial progress made since the last nomination.
 
How many times a day can someone vote?
 
The system allows only one vote per device. A person can only vote once. Once your email or device has been registered on the website, you will not be able to vote again.
